Hon. Lid Roy Lazo Rodríguez

Hon. Lazo is the Vice-Minister Agriculture And Livestock of Honduras. He is a trained Agricultural Engineer with a specialization in irrigation systems. Throughout his career, he has involved in numerous studies, designs, and constructions of irrigation systems across the country. His work encompasses a wide range of activities, including land levelling for irrigation, dam construction, irrigation canal and hydraulic structure development, and the installation of both fixed and mobile sprinkler and drip irrigation systems.

He also has completed a range of specialized courses, including those on soil sampling techniques, management of banana cultivation, pumping systems in agricultural irrigation, and water management for irrigation systems. Additional training includes participation in the Exhibitor II Central American Irrigation Week, an executive computer course, and the Rain Bird International Lecture Series on agriculture and landscape irrigation products in Glendora, California, USA. He also attended advanced training on the operation of irrigation districts and units at the Benito Juárez Training Center in Sinaloa, Mexico.

Honourable Lazo holds a degree from the Regional University Center of the Atlantic Coast (CURLA UNAH). He also participated in various seminars, including those focused on business management for irrigation systems, project monitoring and evaluation, and irrigation system improvement as well as cost analysis for construction equipment, geographic referencing for estates, hydrometry in irrigation, total quality management, and soil fertility analysis.
