YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini binti Ahmad
YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad is the Minister of Plantation and Commodities of Malaysia, having assumed office on 17 December 2025. She provides strategic leadership in advancing Malaysia’s plantation and commodities sector with a strong focus on sustainability, global competitiveness and inclusive growth.
She brings extensive experience in public governance, policy development and institutional leadership, supported by a strong academic foundation in business, finance and development management. The Honourable Minister holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Double Major in Quantitative Analysis and Finance) from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universiti Tun Abdul Razak, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Development Management from Universiti Utara Malaysia. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA).
Throughout her career, the Honourable Minister has held senior leadership roles, including Minister of Higher Education, Deputy Minister of Human Resources, Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, and Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). She has also served as Chairperson of the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA), demonstrating her commitment to strengthening smallholder livelihoods and rural economic development.
As the Member of Parliament for Parit Sulong since 2008, the Honourable Minister continues to champion sound governance, socio-economic resilience and sustainable national development, in alignment with the Malaysia MADANI framework.
